Basic - Active 2.0 Portable Solution

The Active 2.0 is a portable electric pressure washer for car washing. In my testing, it produced 2.0+ GPM at around 700 PSI, which is the flow and pressure range I want for washing cars. It is an entry-level unit with a 5-plunger pump built for a longer life than most budget washers.

I hear about many entry-level pressure washers that claim high output and then fall short when tested. The Active 2.0 did not. It exceeded my expectations, and it was one of my favorite pressure washers to test, next to the Kranzle.

What I measured in testing

I measured 2.0+ GPM at around 700 PSI. That is the flow-first setup I recommend for car washing. 

Pump and build

The pump on the Active 2.0 is fully reengineered. The goal was a longer lifespan. The manufacturer’s design target is 200 to 250 hours. Reaching that target took upgrades to the internal components.

• The pump has 5 plungers
• It is a radial-axial design with a wobble plate
• The wobble plate connects to the drive shaft and pushes the plungers back and forth
• That motion pulls water in and pushes it out
• The result is high pressure with a greater amount of water

An end-to-end solution

We built this as a complete setup. The quality parts and pieces in it can move to a premium pressure washer when you upgrade or when this unit wears out.

Who this is for

This is a portable solution for you if you want a strong pressure washer that fits a smaller budget. I always suggest you wall-mount your washer. If you like to move around freely or you cannot wall mount, this unit fits your setup. If you prefer a fixed setup, look at our wall mount solutions.

What to know before you buy

This is an entry-level pressure washer, and you cannot service it. It still performs well for the class.
