Advanced One Car Garage Lighting Solution

The jump from the Basic Lighting Solutions to the Advanced Lighting Solutions is quite noticeable. For one, you now get a linear fixture instead of a high-bay fixture, providing a clean, modern look to your garage.  You also gain the potential to connect to your wireless Lutron ecosystem with the included dimmer switch.

These lights are dimmable with a standard dimmer switch. However, given their power draw, we recommend something to help the dimming process - a phase adaptive power module. Each light pulls about 45W, and most dimmers on the market can only handle up to 250W. This power module is connected between the dimmer switch and your array of lights to provide the needed wattage to dim the fixtures. More info can also be found on its product page.

The Lutron Caseta switch included in this kit is a 250W dimmer with a neutral wire (check out its product page for more specs). The neutral wire connects to the power module previously mentioned and acts as a "signal wire" for the module, telling it to dim while the power module does the actual work of the dimming. When paired with a Lutron hub, this switch can be integrated into the rest of the Lutron Caseta system in your home, allowing you to control your lights from your phone. This switch can also be paired with a Lutron Pico remote, adding access to lighting control wherever you need it.
