We brought in a couple of old Hondas that had spent years sitting in unconditioned storage. The leather had soaked up moisture. So had the plastics. The mildew smell was deep, not surface-level stale air, but the kind that has worked its way into the material itself. Sprays do not reach that. Ozone does.
The Rainbowair Activator 500 oxidizes and breaks down the gases causing the odor. It does not cover them with fragrance or rely on a filter to trap particles. Ozone disperses on its own and reaches the leather, headliner, carpet backing, door panels, and every surface a spray bottle never will. That is what made the difference on those Hondas, and it is what will make the difference on your worst-smelling jobs.
It covers up to 5,000 sq. ft. and gives you three output levels to match the job. Light freshening uses low output. Stale air and moderate odors call for medium. Heavy smoke contamination or deep mildew like what was in those cabins calls for the full 500 mg/hr on high. Set the 60-minute timer, place the unit as high as possible in the room, turn on the HVAC fan, and leave. The Activator 500 shuts itself off automatically.
The Single Auto Kit (AUTO-KIT, sold separately) lets you pipe ozone directly from the Activator 500 into a vehicle interior through a 5-ft hose without powering the unit inside the car. That gives you a controlled, targeted treatment for smoke, pet contamination, mold, or anything that has soaked into the interior materials.
