Obsessed Garage Air Hose Reel Mount
We made this because I got tired of fighting flimsy brackets that flex, twist, or don’t land cleanly on studs. If you’re mounting a Coxreels air hose reel, it deserves something solid behind it, not a piece of bent sheet metal.
This bracket is designed to mount directly to 16 inch on center wall studs so you’re not guessing, shimming, or trusting drywall anchors. It spreads the load, keeps the reel square, and doesn’t move once it’s installed.
Key details
- Designed specifically for Coxreels air hose reels
- Mounts cleanly to 16 inch on center studs
- Made from steel
- Available in raw stainless or powdercoated wrinkle black
- Wrinkle black version is stainless underneath, not mild steel
- Includes mounting hardware
- Built to handle the weight and constant pull of a loaded air reel
Why it exists
- Most off the shelf brackets flex or rack once you start yanking the hose
- Wall mounting a reel only works if the load is distributed properly
- This keeps the reel tight to the wall and aligned where you want it
- It looks right in a garage that’s been thought through
Finish options
- Raw stainless if you want the industrial look
- Wrinkle black powdercoat if you want it to disappear into the wall
- Same stainless base material on both, just a different finish
This is the same approach I take with everything we sell. Overbuild it, mount it correctly, and never think about it again.
If you’re already running a Coxreels air hose reel, this is the bracket I’d use.
