I specifically like to use it on my rotors so they don't rust after washing. Nothing is worse after a wash than a light coat of rotor rust on a freshly cleaned wheel! A little goes a long way, you only dilute it 5% in water. This can be used for way more than just rotors!
Atom-Mac is a migratory and contact corrosion inhibitor that is diluted in water before use. It provides protection against corrosion in both open spaces and hollow voids. The powerful migratory phase corrosion inhibitors are liberated from the product and are carried in a vapor phase to form an invisible atomic shield against corrosion of ferrous metal.
IT'S ALL ABOUT THE SCIENCE
Atom-Mac uses a percentage dilution method. This method uses some basic math to figure out the exact amount of chemcial dilution you need to be putting in your bottle.
Step 1. Start by finding what spray bottle you're going to be putting Atom-Mac in. We suggest our double action Pressol 750mL bottle.
Step 2. Take the volume of your bottle, our example will be 750mL, and multiple it by the percentage you wish to dilute. So we'll be doing 5%. It's suggested to dilute anywhere from 2-5% total volume.
Step 3. Let's dilute Atom-Mac to 5% with our 750mL bottle. Take 750 * 0.05 = 37.5mL, this is the amount of Atom-Mac you'll put in your 750mL bottle. Fill the rest of the bottle with water, 712.5mL of water to be exact.
Step 4. If you want to use 2% multiply by 0.02, if you want to use 5% PIR multiply by 0.05. If you need help please use our calculator below.

WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW
Dilute from 2 – 5% in water and spray on surfaces to be protected. Atomize onto brakes discs and surfaces after washing the vehicles and allow to dry (use 1-2% in water on motorcycles and bicycles and 5% on cars with disc brakes).
Atomize into voids to protect interior surfaces at a rate of 2ml (of neat product) per liter of space.
Atom-Mac should be diluted to 2- 5% to neutralize corrosive winter road salt and sprayed liberally on vehicle undersides this rate also provides invisible protection to bicycles, machinery tools and equipment.
To use post deox C or GEL, or blast cleaning treatment 2% added to the rinse water is sufficient to eliminate flash corrosion and protect the treated item. Sealing in plastic bag or container traps the migrating corrosion inhibitors and adds further protection.
Atom-Mac can be used in pressure washers and can be applied to the entire underside where it will neutralize road salt and emit powerful corrosion inhibitors, it should be applied at the end of each wash. Even wet cars can be put into storage allowing the migratory inhibitors to protect the entire vehicle. Aim for 2% Atom-Mac strength from the pressure washer nozzle.

Get The Best Results
Atom-Mac works when you apply it right. Almost every rust complaint I see comes down to how it went on, not the product. Follow these and your rotors stay clean.
- Apply it in stages through your wash. I hit the rotors more than once. I apply after the initial rinse when I am pre-foaming, and again after the bucket wash. Your rotors get wet again on the final rinse, so a single early application gets washed off. Building it up through the wash keeps a fresh film on the metal the whole time.
- Apply a fine mist, not a heavy soak. You want to atomize it onto the surface. If you blast it onto a rotor that still has standing water on it, you dilute the mix and it runs right off. Weak film, weak protection.
- Do not rinse it off after your last pass. Your final application goes on last, after the final rinse. If you spray it and then rinse the wheel again, you just washed away the part doing the work. Spray it, then let it dry.
- Start with a clean surface. If you used an iron remover or an acidic wheel cleaner, rinse it fully before you apply. Leftover cleaner sitting on bare cast iron will flash rust fast, and no inhibitor fixes that.
- Know what it does. Atom-Mac slows corrosion. It does not turn cast iron into stainless steel. A bare rotor left outside wet or overnight in humidity can still show light flash rust. That is normal for the metal.
- Driving scrubs the swept face. The moment you drive, your pads wipe the film off the braking surface. Rust there after a drive is normal rotor behavior, not a product failure. The film keeps protecting the vent holes, edges, and hat.
