THIS IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: THIS UNIT REQUIRES A DEDICATED 20-AMP CIRCUIT. IT WILL NOT WORK ON A 15-AMP!
When I tested the original AR630-TSS, I was surprised at how well it performed. It outperformed the Kranzle K1322TS, K1122TST, and Comet Static 1700, with 980 PSI at 2.35 GPM (with our accessories), while still being in a mid-tier price point. While I still prefer the Kranzles, this pressure washer is no slouch.
AR has now updated the pressure washer to make it better. You'll notice there is no "TSS" at the end of the model number. That is because they only make one version of this pressure washer now. The new power switch on this unit lets us toggle on and off the TSS (Total Stop System). For some industrial use cases, you may want to have the pressure washer constantly run, but for us pro-sumers, we want to keep the TSS turned on, allowing the pressure washer to turn off when you release the trigger.
This particular AR630 is their hot water version. While the regular AR630 V2 can handle most of your pressure washer needs, there are a few instances where this one makes more sense. If you want to use deionized water with your pressure washer, the nickel-plated head will hold up to treated water better than a standard brass pump head will. This pressure washer can also handle up to 180°F (82°C) for those scenarios where extra hot water is needed to provide extra cleaning power.
Of course, I still needed to test this new one to make sure it is up to par. Just like the last unit, it comes with a 20-amp plug, so you will need to make sure your outlet can accept that. I tested it at 980 PSI and 2.35 GPM, slightly up from the previous version. While the price has gone up compared to the previous version, it is still a value for what you are getting — serviceability, reliability, and great performance. We still recommend using a 1.25mm orifice in your foam cannon and a 5.0 nozzle size.
As you can see from the photos, this pressure washer has also undergone some aesthetic changes. The motor/pump integration has been changed so that the overall machine is smaller and sleeker. AR also updated the pump head and TSS to be more durable and reliable.
