PSB CS610/CS810 In-Ceiling Speaker
Description
For those of you who want a room-filling sound experience at a reasonable price, you can’t go wrong with these PSB In-Ceiling Speakers. The CS610 and CS810 have a warm, balanced sound constructed to handle plenty of power.
All of the audio solutions I’m providing are designed to be used in the garage. If you’re like me and spend any amount of time there, having music engulf you makes the garage experience much more enjoyable.
Even though I’ve built this audio idea around the garage, you can also use these in your home theatre. My guess is some of you will install these inside of your home, your patio, or wherever you need them, but for our purpose, we're installing these in the garage.
With both sized speakers, you’re getting PSB’s proprietary carbon-filled polypropylene woofer with an aluminum-dome tweeter. The 6” comes with a ¾” tweeter, while the 8” comes with a 1” tweeter. Both tweeters have a ball-joint pivot mount allowing you to aim the tweeter toward your listening position.
If you’re trying to decide which one to get, I’d say grab the 8” (CS810). The woofer on this one takes care of those lower notes while the tweeter reproduces lower frequencies.
These are not the Dynaudio Performance Series 2 Way In-Ceiling speakers I love, but they are a solid choice that sounds great for a lesser cost.
