When I quickly tested all of the EGOs while washing my GT4, I noticed that the 615 was huffing a little harder than the others. This one is obviously putting out more CFM than the models below it (530, 580), but it still felt like it was really working to push air out. At least that’s what I experienced.
You can definitely feel the power in this thing. If you own any of the lower CFM models, you’ll quickly see how much output this blower can produce. I believe it has air speeds up to 170 mph, enough to dry a vehicle in a limited amount of time. When you want to take things up a notch, it has a lock-on speed-control dial allowing you to adjust speeds from 200 to 480 CFM.
With the efficiency of EGO’s batteries, I've found that I can run this blower at top speed and dry my entire car with one bar left. The life of the battery will depend on the size of your vehicle. I’m usually washing 2-door BMWs and 2-door Porches—one reason you’d want to have a few batteries in your garage locker cabinet. EGO states that this blower has over 75-minutes of continuous run time, but that's if you're using the 2.5 Ah battery.
Its high-efficiency brushless motor allows for longer run times, low vibrations, and an extended motor life. I’d say it’s quieter than the 650 but not as quiet as my favorite, the EGO 580 CFM blower.
You can get the blower by itself or the blower kit that includes a 4.0 Ah battery (with fuel gauge) and EGO’s standard charger. I'd also suggest you add in a stubby nozzle and blower band to make it legit.
