Flex XFE 7-12 is a cushioned Velcro backed 3" backing plate. This is a direct replacement for the backing plate that comes with a Flex XFE 7-12 80. You can use any 3-3.5" pad that uses the hook & loop adhesion of Velcro. The backing plate has a red cushioned mounting surface.
