NEXT TOOLBOXES
NEXT TOOLBOXES
My friends over at Sonic Tools USA have worked diligently to create this newer version of their toolboxes called NEXT. I’m a sucker for brands who don’t get stuck living with past successes of products they carry but instead continue to reinvent themselves and improve upon even the most minor details of their flagship creations.
Sonic’s toolboxes are the perfect storage solution for both entry-level and professionals who want durability, functionality, and style. I fell in love with these toolboxes because of their sleek design, high-quality materials, and innovative features that set them apart from the competition. In addition to their looks and function, they are super durable and can withstand the harshest working environments. Whether you own a shop or you’re someone like me who wants to have professional-grade equipment in your home garage, Sonic has a wide range of toolboxes that will work well in any workspace.
The NEXT line is made from a single piece of folded steel. The drawers are made this way as well. This creates a super robust toolbox with a high weight capacity. For many of these toolboxes, the weight capacity has more than doubled, making NEXT the optimal choice for those serious about high-end toolboxes.
Sonic has several different NEXT models to choose from, but I’m a fan of the S9, S12XD, and S15. The S9 is one of my top favorites because it holds the appropriate style of foam inlays - it’s also designed to hold medium-sized inserts. I also like how it’s the perfect size in reference to height, width, and depth; it’s what I want if I’m looking to do something smaller. The S7 and S8 are good options but those are starter (entry-level) toolboxes - my guess is that most of you in the market to purchase a toolbox are a step above beginners.
The casters on these things are incredible. I can easily roll each model (S7, S8, S9, S12, S12XD, S13, S14, and S15) across my Swisstrax tiles without noise or disruptions. This attention to detail separates Sonic from its competitors - they understand that building a quality product is more than just making it look good but focusing on each part and piece for the end user to have a satisfying experience.
Sonic’s NEXT line has larger, heavier-duty casters, drawer slides, and reinforced stainless steel tops. They also have better powder coating, cool color schemes, sleeker plastic bumpers, and a new handle construction similar to the MSS+ cabinet line.
If you’re tight on space or just need the flexibility of a rolling toolbox for your garage or shop, the NEXT toolboxes from Sonic are what you want. My suggested NEXT toolboxes you will want to look at are the S9, S12XD, and S15.
