It's officially time to throw your Keurig out; the xBloom is where it's at! It's a pod-based coffee brewer with a few unique features that make it incredibly appealing to the time-crunched coffee snob.
The first and arguably most significant feature is the included grinder. If you didn't know, grinding a whole bean right before brewing is significantly better than using a pre-ground bean. Once a bean is ground, it starts releasing gasses, so we want to capture as much of that as possible. When you buy your coffee pre-ground, it loses all of the freshness you would have otherwise gotten.
The other unique thing about the xBloom is the programable settings so that you can dial in your grind size, water temperature, and brew time. If you’re using the xBloom pods you get off their website, these settings will be determined for you using the NFC chip on the bottom of every pod, but if you are buying your own bean, you have to set up the clear reusable hold through the app. I recommend the Kalita Wave 155 Filters. I’m working on getting them in the store but for now you can get them on amazon.
Simply tap the cup, pour the beans, and let it do its thing. If coffee is a part of your life and you enjoy the convenience of a pod system, you need this!
