I’m almost certain this Wireless Bluetooth Bookshelf Audio Solution will be one of our more popular audio solutions. Mainly because of its affordability compared to the higher-end stuff we’re selling in our advanced and ultimate audio packages.
We’re branding this as a wireless system, but it still requires some wires. You have to plug it in and run a speaker wire from left to right. These are wireless connected speakers with built-in Bluetooth, making them wireless. I want to be sure I clear that up so there’s no confusion.
I was on such a high talking about the pricier stuff that I’m now having to calm myself down and get back to reality. That’s not a knock on anyone who decides to go this route. This base package system is legit. I understand that not everyone is a crazy person like me who obsesses over this kind of stuff. Many of you are just getting started building your garage and want an affordable, simple, killer audio setup. Well, this is where you want to start.
When you’re putting this package together, you’ll start with your speakers. In this build, you’re going to get the PSB AM3’s/AM5’s. If I were you, I’m going with the AM5’s. The AM5’s will fill the room much better than the AM3’s.
Looking at these from behind, you’ll see that one speaker is the passive speaker (where the speaker wire comes in) while the other is the active speaker (amplified speaker) with all of our inputs. I’m telling you, I don’t know what Paul Barton (chief designer of PSB) did with these things, but they sound freaking amazing.
The simplest system for your garage would be to buy a pair of the AM5’s then choose your color, whether matte black or matte white. We’ll also provide you with 35’ of speaker wire with this package because the wire it comes with is junk. You’ll want to toss it.
What’s not junk are these speakers. Getting past the material, which is vinyl wrapped, your attention will quickly go to the sound once you plug them in. I really didn’t want to like these, but I was enamored once I sat and listened to them. Now, there not my beloved Dynaudio’s, but when you play these things, you’ll clearly hear the amazingness resonating out of them.
If you decide you want to go wireless, wireless where there isn’t any speaker wire connecting one speaker to another, you will go with the Dynaudio Xeo’s. I did a deep dive into these wireless speakers a while ago, so you’ll want to check that video out. These are higher-end speakers, so they’re going to be a bit pricier than the PSB’s.
The second and final step in this package is to select the subwoofer option, where we're offering you either a wired or wireless setup.
The wireless setup will include an OSD Audio Nero Wireless Subwoofer Kit with a Monoprice Single Male to Dual Male - RCA Y-Adapter with this subwoofer add-on. For the wired setup, you will receive a 25' RCA cable.
This setup is the perfect starter, garage audio solution. As I’ve done with many of our other solutions, I’ve set things up so you’ll have the ability to progress over time into the higher-end, more robust stuff.
