De-coupling your subwoofer from the floor will give you tighter and cleaner-sounding bass. When I say de-coupling, I'm referring to the process of separating two parts to inhibit vibration transmission and block loud noises from traveling. The SoundPath Isolation System (or pucks) from SVS is what you'd use to lift your subwoofer off the floor to eliminate rattling, buzzes, or vibrations.

These can be used with most subwoofer brands to improve bass performance.
