When I first got my hands on all of the M18 Drivers I noticed they all look and feel very similar which makes it confusing for the average consumer to figure out which one will work best for them. The SURGE line sets itself apart in that the power curve for the torque distribution is much flatter and more consistent than non-surge tools which allows you to drive screws in faster. Another benefit is that it's much quieter and vibrates way less than the standard non-surge tools.
