The old saying that big things come in small packages is true regarding Dynaudio’s Emit 10 and Emit 20 bookshelf speakers. If you’re looking to get the best bang for your buck with a brand/sound that’s superior to any other speaker on the market, you’ll want these.
I’ve mentioned before that the garage is a very harsh environment for sound, but you can have a pleasant audio experience with the right set of speakers. What caught my attention with the Emit 10’s and Emit 20’s is how much output they deliver to be so compact.
The noticeable difference between the two speakers is the woofer sizes and the speaker enclosure. Both have the same sound signature, but the Emit 20’s are meant for a slightly larger room since they get louder. Emit 20’s will also have a slightly lower frequency response which means slightly better bass. They’re about 10Hz lower.
The magic in Dynaudio speakers is the warm/rich sound they deliver. I have a super-sensitive reaction to bright sounds, so having the Dynaudio Core 59’s has been a dream come true. Being able to carry these in the store has been incredible.
If there was one desire of mine, it was to have these speakers in my collection. I am now better positioned to offer you an end-to-end garage solution that includes audio, which makes me extremely happy.
The ultimate goal for you will be to make this a complete setup by adding in a subwoofer. I would recommend the Dynaudio Sub 3 for the Emit series. I don’t offer any subs now, but I plan to vet some and bring them into the store.
Dynaudio is designed and engineered in Denmark. There’s no stone left unturned when it comes to quality sound, fit, and finish—a fantastic set of speakers that will work great in the garage or even in your home office.
