In order to amplify the sound of your subwoofer, you’re going to need an amplifier that can deliver constant power at all impedances. This is where the Audio Control RS Series amps come into the picture.

Dynaudio has a partnership with Audio Control, where Audio Control makes the subwoofer amplifiers for them. I’m selling both the RS 500 and the RS 1000. The 500 will be for one subwoofer, while the 1000 will be for two.

As you can see or as you will see, these amps are on the clunky side because they were designed for custom-install applications. So, whether you decide to do a rack mount or just put them on a shelf, know that one install will look much cleaner than the other.

Once you tune these, you can set it and forget it. It’s pretty straightforward to do. You’ll be provided with an IP address in the manual that allows you to connect to your network to make tuning adjustments. If you’re a tinkerer, you should be fine doing this yourself.

These are extremely capable, high-output amplifiers rated to have more wattage than the Dynaudio subs, but they were made specifically for the Dynaudio Sub line.

You wouldn’t need both of these - you’d pick one or the other depending on how many subs you’re going to have. A real simple formula: 1 Sub = RS500. 2 Subs = RS1000.

If you have questions on setting these up, just hit up Kyle and his team at design@obsessedgarage.com. They will be the ones that can put together your custom install solution.
