A moment I have been waiting for - Milwaukee’s M18™ FUEL 15mm Random Orbital Cordless Polisher. As soon as I knew these would be made available, I immediately told Brad, “I want this!” This polisher is an amazing tool you’ll definitely want to have in your garage locker cabinet.
Let me preface this description by saying that RUPES and FLEX are still two viable polishers. But Milwaukee is the clear winner if you’re looking for superior productivity and efficient/maximum power. Not to mention, the fit and finish of this machine are legit.
A few reasons you want this polisher 1) Low risk of surface damage. The 5” backing plate combined with the 15mm throw heats paint more slowly 2) Better in tight spaces. A smaller orbit limits the risk of damage to your vehicle. These two critical features combined make this a must-have, in my opinion.
It doesn’t bog under pressure, which means speed is maintained under load. Again, we’re getting maximum performance here, and that makes this an easy pick-up in my mind.
In my experience using cordless polishers, I’ve run into the issue where I ran out of battery power too soon or didn’t have the highest RPM to paint correct my vehicles. The backing of Milwaukee's M18™ fuel battery makes this workhorse move. These things matter when you look to do polishing work in a respectable amount of time.
