Description:
I started the search for a wall mountable pressure washing solution almost 3 years ago when I built the wash bay at my house. I headed down a rabbit hole that kept leading me down dead ends. Too much noise, not enough flow, fit/finish/quality concerns, are all issues I encountered. That is the reason I ended up deciding to take a gamble on the Kranzle K165STS that I currently have in my wash bay. It certainly is great at 2800PSI and 2.8 GPM and looks absolutely fantastic. The cons: it's loud, cycles for 30 seconds before turning off, and weighs 180lbs. Oh...another small issue...it was $4500 and they no longer make it!
What I really wanted for all of us is a small, compact pump that I could put on a shelf that looks and works like the Kranzle K1122TST. That is the main component of my Obsessed Garage Complete Pressure Washing Solution. There are significant advantages to having that cart model, but what if you wanted to mount it on the wall with permanent plumbing, and a hose reel?
After the massive success I had with the 1122 package and my need for another wall mounted solution for OGHQ, I decided to design a less costly, more efficient wall mounted solution. I bought a K1622 (non TS version) that was currently available. It is a 1600 PSI, 1.7GPM pump...but...it runs continuously. It doesn't have the "Total Stop" function the K1122TST has. It just wasn't good enough for our application. Although the pump can run for hours in bypass mode, I think we want the pressure switch that would make this pump function better for car washing.
At the time, the K1622 did not have a total stop feature but now this K1622TS model comes with total stop! Keep in mind though that this machine, while a great option, is not on par with the better K1322TS. If you want something with more pressure, a stock OE gun and wand, but less flow, this machine is a winner. And it will still beat the pants off of most pressure washers available at a similar or lower price. But if you’re really wanting the best wall mounted solution, you need to be checking out my Kranzle Custom Install Solution that includes the better K1322TS.
Buying Options in the Dropdown Menus:
The full Custom Installed Kranzle Solution with a shelf, hose reel, wand/gun/holder, etc. is a different item. I want you to be able to buy the pump by itself if that's what you want. I've included some options here to allow you to create a system that's mobile.
Option 1: K1622TS Alone: This comes with the stock OE Kranlzle sprayer and wands, as well as a 35' Kranzle M22 hose. It will ship directly from Kranzle and arrive in an overpack box.
Option 2: Add Complete ORIGINAL Mosmatic Swiveling Sprayer & Wand Solution: This is the add-on option you will want to make this a fully functioning, pressure washing solution. OR Add MTM PF-22.2 Foam Cannon: If you need a foam cannon, this is the one. (Still need some sort of hose or reel)
Option 3: Add 50', 75' or 100' KobraJet Hose and Quick Disconnects: This hose is the best I've found. Termination, quality, pliability are all the best I've encountered. This add-on option includes 3/8" NPT with male threaded ends on both sides (one swiveling), 50' Hose, MTM M22 Female to 3/8" Plug, and MTM 2 - 3/8" Stainless Female Quick Disconnect Couplers on both ends of the hose.
The Specs That Matter:
- Rated PSI: 1600
- Rated GPM: 1.7 (1.55 observed, or 1.61 with our 3.5 nozzle)
- Electrical Requirements: 110V, 15A
- Generator Requirements when Mobile: The official word from Kranzle is that you need a really stout generator to properly handle the amperage surges during startup and the auto start function. You need at minimum a 4800W generator to run this machine properly without issues in the long run.
- Weight: 43 lbs
- Nozzle Size: If you are using an aftermarket gun and wand like one of our setups, you should use a 3.5 nozzle in either 40 degree or 25 degree. The stock nozzle size on the OE Kranzle wands is 2.8.
- Pressure Switch: This turns off when the gun's trigger is released and is instantly turned on when pulled!
- 18.75" Length (front threaded outlet to longest part of plastic housing)
- 12.5" Height x 7" Width with Handle Attached
- 10.5" Height x 6.75" Width with Handle Removed

Installation, Troubleshooting, and FAQ:
MY PRESSURE GAUGE HAS LIQUID, AND A BUBBLE!
The gauge is filled with glycerin in order to work properly and has a bubble. This is normal!
CAN I USE A KRANZLE WITH A WATER TANK?
So the Kranzle K1622TS will actually draw from a tank on it's own as it has a self priming pump. The Kranzle manual states that it can pull water from up to 1m below, but we haven't tested that yet. Basically, anything that is level with your tank, or keeping the machine slightly under will work perfectly. DO NOT use an external pump as this can actually cause issues with the Kranzle. Also, be sure to note the power requirements on the product page. You'll need at least a 4800W generator to run a Kranzle if you’re mobile.
HOW AND WHEN DO I CHANGE THE OIL?
Here’s what the K1622TS manual has to say:
The first oil change should be carried out after approximately 50 operating hours. After that no further oil change will be necessary for the life cycle of the high-pressure cleaner. If it becomes necessary during repairs, or because the oil has a greyish color then the oil draining screw should be opened and the oil emptied into a container. The oil is to be caught in the reservoir and disposed of in an approved manner. We have the Kranzle specific oil in the store: KRANZLE GEAR OIL
Here’s Matt’s video on the oil change procedure
MY KRANZLE INLET IS LEAKING.
I’ve been having few people having this issue lately for whatever reason. Usually they are able to get past the problem by tightening down the male threaded plug into the inlet of the pressure washer further than you think. What’s happening is there is a swiveling coupler that is loose until you install a hose or fitting. When installing the plug, you are actually creating a seal on the inside against a rubber washer. As the threads are tightened, the swiveling coupler is pulled away from the pressure washer and creates a tight seal as it gets tighter.
It has less to do with the threads, and more to do with getting that coupler and plug as tight as necessary to create a tight seal. I would recommend 1-2 wraps MAX of teflon tape on the male threads, just enough to give it a bit of an easier time threading. Then tighten it down really far with the two pairs of pliers. The swiveling coupler on the inlet of the pressure washer should become very rigid and tight. Just don’t go crazy and way over tighten, you will split the rubber washer in there. If you need a new garden hose washer, just grab one from a hardware store for a few cents.
