I think I bought six different pressure washer hoses when I built my car wash bay at my previous house. They were all so-so at best, but nothing came close to the MTM High-Pressure hose. I've found it very difficult to find a decent hose for a pressure washer to navigate through all of the noise.
It was darn confusing trying to figure out what to do, but that's the name of the game and how I continue to arrive at these solutions.
Solutions = Quality. What you don't want to do is cheap out and get some janky piece of crap. Flexzilla is definitely not the answer. So, please get that option out of your head. I've found that the best products to buy are often the ones that are tucked away—chasing after this hose was well worth it.
A few things to take note of when it comes to the High-Pressure hose:
- It's built to handle higher pressures. To get the desired pressure, you need for your pressure washer; you'll need to be sure you have the properly sized hose. The last thing you want is to have everything set to go, but you're getting limited pressurized water.
- It doesn't kink. This is self-explanatory, but kinking in your hose restricts flow and will cause surging.
- Smooth jacket. If you don't want to mess up your floor with marks then this is another good reason to purchase this hose. Unless you have a white painted floor which most people don't, you should be good to go. You're more than likely going to be using this in your driveway or on your garage flooring if you wash inside of your garage.
If you plan on owning a Kranzle pressure washer, their hose is decent but they are almost $200 for 50' (the High-Pressure hose is NOT compatible with a Kranzle K1122TST). They are also very typical from a pliability standpoint. So, I bought one of these High-Pressure hoses for my Custom Install Solution I built for OGHQ. As soon as I opened the box and felt the hose, I knew this was it. The termination is super clean, much more pliable, and less kink-prone. And what's important is that it matches the color of my Kranzle.
I've taken all of the guesswork out for you. Arriving at this point has been both frustrating and rewarding. Frustrating in the sense of buying, testing, buying, and more testing. However, the reward came from arriving at a solution that works and works well for you and me. You'll enjoy having this hose for many years to come.
