I’m stepping into another realm when it comes to the Ultimate Packages. I’m building these solutions out the way I’d want them to be in my garage, so expect them to be legit.  Just know that legit isn’t cheap. The Ultimate Dynaudio Bookshelf Solution is what I’d say is the best stuff for the garage. You could certainly spend more, but we need to draw the line somewhere. I’m wagering that I’m a pretty solid candidate to be the one to choose where that line is.

I understand how crazy this may look, but if you’re anything like me and see the value in quality products, the cost of something has less impact on your decision-making. Some people will say how ridiculous it is to put expensive equipment into a garage; I say, wherever you’re spending the majority of your time, you invest in that area to make it the best experience possible. If you value quality audio, why not put good stuff in the spot you listen to most? That’s what I do.

When you’re building your package, just know it will come with all the cables you need to set it up. Trust me when I tell you, setting this up will be super simple. Chances are, you’ll have this up and running in under 10-minutes. If you do run into issues or if you need something custom, just hit up my guys, and they’ll get you dialed in. Be sure to watch the video above in the product photo carousel in its entirety to see how this all comes together, along with how to set it up.

So, if you want to do this like me, here’s how it will go. The first thing you’re going to do is select your speakers. We’re doing either Evoke 10 or Evoke 20 passive speakers in this solution. You’d then choose your color. You’ll have four options: 1) Walnut Wood, 2) Blonde Wood, 3) Black High Gloss, 4) White High Gloss. In my garage, I had the Evoke 20’s in blonde wood. I feel the blonde wood is best for the garage because it doesn’t show as much dust as the others. It also has the best veneer (a high-quality wood finish). I talked about the Dynaudio Evokes in greater detail in a video I did. Be sure to check that out. I suggest you not do the black high gloss unless you’re willing to work for it.

After picking your speaker and color, you’d choose your source component (DAC). In this solution, it will be the NAD M33, NAD M10, or NAD C388. The best option here for most of us is the C388. NAD has a newer amp I plan to have in the store called the C399 once I can get a demo in-house. The C399 shares much of the same architecture as the M33 but with a little less fancy. I’ll dig into more with that amp once I actually have it.

What you decide to go with will depend on how much you’re willing to spend. If you’re really balling, you will go with the NAD M33 with the Evoke 20s and a Sub 6. If you have a small place or area on top of your garage cabinet and want to save a little bit, you’ll get the Evoke 10s with a NAD M10. You can’t go wrong either way, but I will always go big.

Now, we move into my favorite part, the subwoofer add-on option, which I highly suggest you do. With this package, you get the Dynaudio Sub 6. This subwoofer is my favorite thing of all the things I’ve discovered. I love the Evokes and the source components, but this sub is the real winner. This sub is a dual 9” woofer. It’s not the loudest, but there’s just something magical about it. It’s as if it disappears in the room. You’ll have to do very little to get it set up. It has the built-in DSP (digital signal processing) software that makes it work seamlessly with the Evokes. Think of it as already being calibrated to marry the two together to distribute the perfect sound for whatever room you’re putting it in.

Like our other audio packages, you can do a wired or wireless subwoofer setup. If you’re going to do this wired, we include a Monoprice Premier Series XLR Male to RCA Male with a 25’ Monoprice Premier Series XLR Cable. I recommend going wired if you can, but it’s no big deal if you can't. You’re losing roughly 2 Hz of low-end frequency when you go wireless, but I can tell you that you won’t even notice the difference. If it’s the wireless setup you’re going with, we’ll send you the OSD Audio Nero Wireless Subwoofer Kit with a Monoprice Single Male to Dual Male - RCA Y-Adapter

I want you to know that you will have full BlueOS capability with this setup. This software allows you to use your phone as a controller and your source component as the player - distributing high-quality sound with services like Tidal and Spotify.

If you have a TV setup and want to do video (with audio to your speakers), you’d connect your HDMI cable to your source component (amp/preamp) and to your television (eARC slot if available or ARC). I sell these in various sizes depending on how long of a cable you need. For 1-6 meters, you’d go with the Ethereal HDMI High Speed Cable. A 10-meter cable, the Velox 10 Meter HDMI Cable. A 49 ft (15m) cable, the Velox 8K Powered HDMI Cable. Another option is to run an optical cable from your amp to your TV. There’s really no reason to do this unless you absolutely have to.

I’ve done the work to simplify this process for you. All you have to do is click and add to cart.
