Although it functions as a portable pump, this pressure washer is really designed to be mounted on the wall.  The supplied bracket allows for easy mounting and removal from the wall as long as you retain the reel and hose that is supplied with it.  I also wanted to give you the option upgrade to a much better hose and reel if you wanted to make this a more permanent solution.

Ordering:

1.)  Choose if you need the Comet.  I understand some of you may already have one.

2.)  Next choose the package you want.

Advanced Kit:  I'm calling this "Advanced," but what it means is you are getting what I would buy with this pressure washer.  This is the best but most expensive option.   You will remove the hose reel from the Comet and add a jumper hose to the new Cox reel.

  • All Stainless QDs where available (a few of the reducers are brass)
  • 3' Jumper Hose w/ QDs
  • 100' KobraJet Hose
  • 100' Cox Hose Reel
  • Mosmatic Swiveling Gun
  • Mosmatic Wand
  • MTM PF22 Foam Cannon
  • Mosmatic Wall Mounted Wand Holder
  • MTM Stainless 4.0 Nozzle 4 Pack (0, 15, 25, 40 degree)
  • 6.5', 12' or 20' Inlet Hose w/ Stainless Garden Hose QDs.

Basic Kit:  This is to keep the cost down as much as possible but still provide you a full solution.  This package will retain the stock reel and hose that comes on the Comet.

  • All Stainless QDs where available
  • MTM Non-Swiveling SG28 Gun
  • Mosmatic Wand
  • MTM Original Foam Cannon
  • MTM Stainless 4.0 Nozzle 4 Pack (0, 15, 25, 40 degree)
  • 6.5', 12' or 20' Inlet Hose w/ Brass Garden Hose QDs.

3.)  Finally, choose the length you need the Inlet Hose to be.

I've been chasing this one since the beginning.  I was hoping to find a mid-tier/cost solution that would be reliable and provide us adequate flow.  Now this is drawn from my experience and is a preference, but I would much rather have more flow than pressure for washing a car.  The target is as much flow as possible around at around 1000 PSI.  Don't get too hung up on the pressure number.  I know we have been conditioned to think we are getting 2,000 or 3,000 PSI out of pressure washers, but that is not what I measure in real world testing.  1,000 PSI is more than enough to blast the mud off your Jeep, or get the salt out of your wheel wells.  Trust me on this one, flow(GPM) is king in the car washing game.  For example, my $4,500 Kranzle in my wash bay is providing me 950 measured PSI with a 6.0 sized nozzle at 2.8 GPM.  So...

This Comet has a few quirks, but we can easily overcome them with some fittings and accessories.  The key is the output.  I measured 975 PSI at 1.90 GPM with a 4.0 nozzle, which is darn near perfect for washing a car.

You can choose to buy this package with the Comet Static 1700 Extra or without it. When you remove the pressure washer from the package you get everything listed below but the pressure washer. If you already have a Comet then that's your solution.

***Note the warranty on these is 1 Year Parts and Labor.  What won't be covered is shipping back to their service center in MN.  You need to know this going into a Comet purchase.***

Specs:

  • Rated at 2.11 GPM
  • Rated at 1450 PSI Max
  • (These are the specs to compare to others, but they mean nothing in the real world.)
  • Hose: 70'
  • Max Water Temperature Passable:  145 Degrees

This still comes with all of the stuff from the Comet Static 1700 extra package like OE Wand, Wall Rack, Foam Cannon, Brush, etc.
