We personally had Lars and Ram from Colourlock come out to Obsessed Garage and show me their techniques for cleaning leather and Alcantara so we can learn more about the process of caring for car interiors. During their visit, we talked about the different Colourlock leather cleaners and going over the correct methods and what cleaners to use for your specific type of leather. The Colourlock Mild Leather Cleaner is provided in a foam dispenser bottle. Foams clean the leather more efficiently than liquid agents. You would use the Colourlock Mild Leather Cleaner on normal soiled leather where if your leather is heavily soiled you would want to look into getting the Colourlock Strong Leather Cleaner. 200ml of Mild Leather Cleaner is usually sufficient for the cleaning of a whole car interior.
Application:
- Put some Mild Leather Cleaner on a Colourlock Sponge Block or use a Colourlock Brush if the leather has dirt deeply ingrained in the leather. Never put foam directly on the leather!
- With the cleaner applied to your foam block wipe several times from seam to seam, if the foam looks dirty take a slightly damp cloth like our Interior Towel and wipe off the dirty foam and continue wiping from seam to seam. If you need to use a Colourlock Brush for stubbornly ingrained dirt you should start by putting some foam on the brush and work in circular motion gently and wiping with our Interior Microfiber after a few circular passes.
- Now that the leather is clean take your slightly damp cloth like our Interior Towel and wipe off any foam or residue. After allowing the leather to fully dry, consider applying Colourlock Leather Protector and or Colourlock Leather Shield.

Application Tips:
Always test any products first on a hidden area in case they affect the color.
Dispense some foam on a sponge or brush. Do not apply to the leather directly! Clean the leather from seam to seam using the foam; repeat several times, if necessary. Remove dirty foam residue with a slightly moistened piece of cloth, then allow it to dry.
