My immediate reaction to the DynAudio Evoke was, this is it. I’d classify them as the OG Ultimate speakers for the garage; something you should aspire to own. Adding in a stout amplifier and subwoofer will make for a killer audio setup. There’s no question you want these if you can swing it.

I know quite a bit about these speakers, so I’m going to approach this explanation from more of an experience perspective than as an audio salesman. The last thing you want is for me to go on and on about what I’ve read about them but instead the actual involvement I’ve had with them.

You’ve heard me talk about the harshness of sound in all my other audio videos when placing speakers in the garage - it’s a poor acoustic environment. You can’t throw expensive equipment at the problem (which is the room), but I do think if you do it right with the right combination of products, we can overcome enough acoustic deficiencies.

I’ll be selling two different versions of this speaker - the Evoke 10’s and the Evoke 20’s. The different color options we’ll have are Walnut Wood, Blonde Wood, Black High Gloss, and White High Gloss. I won’t be stocking these speakers yet, so when you order them, we’ll place the order with Dynaudio that will then be shipped from us to you.

Both speakers have the same cerotar tweeters designed specifically for the Evoke. These are designed and engineered in Denmark, so they meet my uncompromising expectations of top-notch quality.

One of things I like about these is the screwless design. There’s a two-sided tape that holds the trim piece in place. There’s obviously some metal beneath the surface of the trim plate because we are able to magnetically attach our tweeter protector to the front of it, which I think looks really good.

Both the 10’s and 20’s are bass reflex rear-ported, where the port (hole) is cut out in the back of the speaker cabinet -  this increases the efficiency of the system at low frequencies.

The fit and finish of these things are freaking amazing. They have real wood with no seams. Once you get your hands on these, you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about - they just feel different.

When we’re talking price, these are undoubtedly the more expensive speaker. They are double the cost of the Dynaudio Emits but there’s no comparison in look and feel.

The sound of these speakers is completely different. They still have that same smooth sound signature that I love Dynaudio so much for - the secret sauce this brand has that helps with combating the discordant sound in the garage makes them the perfect audio solution for our application.

The Evoke 20’s (my favorites) are going to sound a little bit bigger with a little bit more bottom end. The more power you give these things the better especially in the garage.

So, here’s the deal, if you’re going to get these, you’re going to want the Evoke 20’s with a NAD C388 amplifier. Of all the speakers I’ve been talking about, these are the ones that would go in my garage, in Blonde Wood.
